If you’re like me, you can never watch enough wildlife videos. YouTube is a great source of entertainment, but what if you could watch animals in real time on your Android?
Leopard TV is an incredibly awesome concept that lets you watch live animal cams and new animal videos every week.
No matter where you are, you can open the app and watch animals at the Shayamanzi Ranch.
Concept and Functionality
Leopard TV, an app by Leopard.tv, functions much like YouTube, but for a very specialized audience. The leopards of the Shayamanzi Ranch in Africa are allowed to roam free while you check out unmanned camera streams and prerecorded videos.
The app itself is very easy to use and browsing everything that Leopard TV offers is incredibly simple. I do like the fact that Leopard TV is laid out much like other video apps.
The only major drawback to Leopard TV is the fact that you can’t take the app for a test drive and sample videos before committing to a monthly subscription.
This is definitely something that will turn people away from the app, so hopefully the developers can add a trial feature for those who want to see what Leopard TV offers without opening their wallet right off the bat.
Features
Along with live video streams, Leopard TV offers prerecorded videos for viewers to check out at their leisure.
You can also support the Leopard Mystery Project by purchasing digital goods inside the app such as ebooks and songs, as well as advertising spots on their site.
The huge benefit to Leopard TV is that it definitely offers tons of footage for viewers to enjoy and it doesn’t look like the project is going anywhere anytime soon, so subscribers will always have new things to enjoy.
Value
Leopard TV can be downloaded from Google Play for free, but the monthly subscription charge is $2. As I mentioned above, I couldn’t find a way to take the app for a test drive without getting past the subscription screen.
Hopefully this will change in the future so potential users won’t be turned away by the immediate request for a subscription.
